BBRC is looking for a strong team player to support the growth of its new subsidiary BBRC Homes – whose ambition is to become a leading developer and investor in homes in the Bristol and Bath region.
This unique role requires a professional with strong commercial acumen, good attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of partners. Essentially, we are seeking someone who is inspired by our mission, with a commercial head and a social heart.
Background – who we are
BBRC Homes is an investor in and developer of high-impact housing projects in Bristol and the West of England. Acting both as a sole developer and in partnership, we work with a range of organisations, including community groups, charities, and housing associations. We work with smaller organisations to deliver bespoke projects of between 5-50 homes and with experienced partners to deliver larger mixed-tenure developments of 50-200 homes. We have a growing and diverse pipeline of exciting projects.
BBRC Homes is embarking on an exciting stage in its development. It has already made a strong start in housing with an award-winning 161-home scheme in North Bristol and wants to build on that progress. Working closely with the Development Director, the Development Executive will deliver and manage projects while retaining a keen eye on social impact.
The role – what you will do
Your responsibilities will include:
Business Development: support the Development Director to identify and secure commercially viable and impactful housing projects.
- Development Management: project management of BBRC Homes investment and development schemes, including project and cost planning, and supervision of consultants and contractors.
- General / Operations Support: support the Development Director in the efficient running of BBRC Homes. To support the process from project scoping and site acquisition to completion and operation of projects.
- Commercial/Financial Management: support the Development Director and senior members of the team to ensure overall financial viability of development and investment projects.
- Internal / Governance Support: support the Development Director with internal governance approval and impact monitoring.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We believe our work will be stronger with greater diversity and welcome applications from those who bring difference to our team. BBRC welcomes the whole person to work, and we understand that each of us bring our experiences, our backgrounds, and our own unique perspective to what we do. We are committed to being a diverse organisation that is truly representative of the communities we serve; that said, we don’t appoint staff in order to represent specific groups or organisations. We aim to be an equal opportunities employer with an inclusive environment, where all team members are encouraged to contribute to their fullest potential. BBRC prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind, on any grounds. We encourage applicants of all ages.
You can help us towards this goal by completing the equalities monitoring form along with your application – but please note this is entirely optional.
